They may cause to be arrested all affrayers, rioters, disturbers and breakers of the peace, and all who go armed offensively, to the the terror of the people, and such as utter menaces or threatening speeches, or otherwise dangerous and disorderly persons.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, not met and sitting in General Assembly, and by the authority of the same, That any person carrying a pistol , dirk, dagger, slung shot, metal knuckles, razor, or other deadly weapon usually used for the infliction of personal injury, concealed about his person shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof, before a Court of competent jurisdiction shall forfeit to the County the weapon so carried concealed and be fined in a sum not more than two hundred dollars, …
